We lost our sweet Winnie this morning to stomach cancer. She was a wonderful bunny and we were with her till the end. It is a very sad day, but we are very thankful to have spent almost 6 years with her. We will love and miss her always.

We're back! A lot happened this month:

New house - We moved to a new house with lots of new molding to chew on! But - hrmph - we are on hard floors now instead of carpet! We do have lots of rugs and new paint (bunny dad picked the orange you'll see in Belle/Pearl/Bunny's room). Also, if anyone was wondering, Ikea's flooring does withstand bunny "accidents."

New toys - Mom placed a big order to Leith petwerks and also scored a castle at Rabbit Day in Raleigh. We have lots to chew on and play with now! But of course we have seen their new Bunny Playland and we wants! Any other buns have this? Is it large enough for us? It's on our Christmas list already!

New camera - So that means we should be back to regular updates. Enjoy our Easter photos!

We have been busy here in bunny-land over the past month! We found new places to chew, got new cardboard boxes and baskets to destroy, chased each other around the room, and ate carrots for the first time in a long time (tell Mom to keep buying carrots)! Bunny Mom has started this new thing called law school and now she can only feed us dinner Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We, of course, make her feel very guilty about this and as a result our weekend portions are now excellent. Bunny Dad gives us normal banana slices during the week, but now Mom gives us deluxe weekend slices. Dad says he was finally making some gains to be the favorite, but we buns love the one who feeds us the best, so it is a close competition. We like these sorts of competitions!

Meet Pegasus and Bob (and Thumper not pictured)!

Bob is part of our bunny network in NC and we were all very excited about his recent article in the newspaper! Above is Pegasus in her stroller. Below is a photo of Bob (you can see Pegasus near his hand sniffing for treats) taken during "Rabbit Day" in Raleigh this year. Bob's bunnies stayed on the rug and ran up to all visitors to check them out and search for treats. We are happy to know these famous bunnies!

Bunny Mom took a short trip and when she returned we got a nice treat - new Willow balls to munch from Pier 1! We love these. I personally like to munch a few sticks and then destroy it. This week, Mom put me in the carrier and I thought we were going to the vet, but instead we went to Girl Scout Camp. Mom used to go to camp but now that she's grown up, she took me so the campers could learn about what it's like to live with bunnies. Mom even took some of my "marbles" to show them - so embarrassing! Well the girls were very nice and thought I was so cute, but of course I knew they would. They made a circle and I hopped around and met all of them (some had treats for me). Then they got to pet me one at a time. Mom said I was such a good girl and then she took me home and gave me a good dinner - I was hungry after all that hard work!

The bun-rents are off to the beach. Thankfully, they left all our bunny costumes in Raleigh so we did not have to dress up this year for the 4th of July, but instead got treats for free! Winnie said her photos were so good last year anyway that we would not be able to top them this year. Anyway, mom says she is bringing all the costumes with her next week but maybe instead she will find us something at the beach that is a little more bun-tastic than a patriotic hat. Maybe if you read that book it would teach you something about providing appropriate chew toys for your pets. Maybe you shouldn't lock me in my cage to let the others out to play. I could be the book defender, or at least I'd tell them to chew the other side so the book would last longer... num num num.
